My Chihuahuas love doing the trick sit pretty. It's such a fun trick for your pup to do. It also helps build muscle and balance. Here's how to teach your dog to sit pretty.
Use treats or a toy to teach your dog. I use treats. Reward them every time they try to do what you ask. Dont get frustrated if your dog doesn't understand at first. Sometimes it takes time.
Your dog should know how to sit to attempt this trick
Put the treat or toy near your dogs nose to try and get them to lift their front paws off the ground, in a stand up position. Try this a few times.
Repeat the word sit pretty every time they do it right. You can also teach a hand signal.
Once your dog understands how to do sit pretty, see if your dog can hold it for at least 5 seconds. You can help them at first by holding their paws. They will learn how to balance on their own and will be able to do the trick for 5-10 seconds as they get used to it.

you can make it a bit more of a challenge by adding more tricks into the sit pretty
- You can teach your dog how to patty cake (wave his paws in the air)
- You can teach your dog how to put his paws together and hold for a few seconds
